Step 6 of 9 · Discuss
Discuss the feedback with your coauthors, comment by comment
Every comment, and the overall feedback, has its own discussion. Coauthors leave notes right where the issue is, mention each other, and bring Refine into the conversation with @refine.
How it works
- 1
Open the discussion
Click Discussion under any comment or the overall feedback.
- 2
Write a note
Mention coauthors to bring them in, or @refine to get an answer from Refine.
- 3
Decide together
Agree on what to change, then resolve the comment.
Key benefits
Context stays with the comment
Each discussion sits under the comment it is about, so nobody has to ask which point you mean.
Bring in a colleague
Mention someone by email to invite them. If the review isn't shared yet, you can share it and post in one step.
Ask Refine together
Mention @refine in a note and Refine answers in the discussion, where everyone can read it.
Shared, unlike the chat
Your chat with Refine stays private. A discussion is visible to everyone who can read the review.
Example use cases
- A coauthor disagrees with a comment and wants to talk it through.
- A supervisor leaving notes for a student on the comments that matter most.
- A team dividing the comments between its members.
- Asking Refine to explain a comment to the whole group.
