How the journals use Refine
The main current use of Refine within the publication processes of these journals is as a pre-publication audit of the technical execution and exposition of a paper. Refine's detailed feedback gives authors an opportunity to address any issues that would require correction post-publication. Editors may also offer authors Refine's technical comments at earlier stages of the refereeing process.1
