EC 2026: Automated Pre-Submission Feedback with Refine
Get detailed technical feedback on your paper.
Refine catches mathematical errors, notation inconsistencies, and clarity issues before reviewers see a paper. This pilot is free for all EC 2026 authors. Your manuscript stays private: no storage, no training.
This program is entirely optional.
Authors who initiate a submission to EC 2026 by the registration deadline (Feb 2, 2026 anywhere on Earth) will be offered the opportunity to receive free pre-submission feedback on their papers from Refine, our AI-powered manuscript review tool designed for technical research.
What Refine Does
Refine analyzes your manuscript and produces a structured report flagging potential issues in:
- •mathematical and logical correctness;
- •notation and definition consistency;
- •exposition and clarity;
- •empirical consistency (tables, figures, specifications).
Reports are typically generated in under 30 minutes.
How to Participate
To opt in, check the box for Refine.ink on the HotCRP submission form. You will then receive instructions for creating a free Refine account and obtaining your free review credit. With that credit in your account, you can process any manuscript with Refine before the final EC submission deadline and receive a full review.
Data Privacy
- •No training: Your manuscript will not be used to train any AI models.
- •Report visibility: Reports are visible only to you (the authors). You control whether to share the report link with anyone else.
- •Enterprise protections: Our AI providers are contractually prohibited from using your content for training.

Disclaimer
Refine is an AI tool and may make mistakes. A flagged issue is not necessarily an error in your paper—it may reflect missing context or a misreading by the model. We hope you find the feedback useful for improving your paper's clarity and completeness.
